The largest btree elements used by ZFS are 24 bytes in size and majority of them are 8 or 16 bytes. Allocate temporary elements on the stack instead of using kernel memory allocator. Add an assert and a comment in case we would like to have larger elements in the future and allocating them on the stack may stop being a good idea. OpenZFS is an advanced file system and volume manager which was originally developed for Solaris and is now maintained by the OpenZFS community. This repository contains the code for running OpenZFS on Linux and FreeBSD.

Supported Kernels
- The
METAfile contains the officially recognized supported Linux kernel versions. - Supported FreeBSD versions are any supported branches and releases starting from 12.4-RELEASE.
