This allows ZAPs to shrink. When there are two empty sibling leafs, one of them is collapsed and its storage space is reused. This improved performance on directories that at one time contained a large number of files, but many or all of those files have since been deleted. OpenZFS is an advanced file system and volume manager which was originally developed for Solaris and is now maintained by the OpenZFS community. This repository contains the code for running OpenZFS on Linux and FreeBSD.

Supported Kernels
- The
METAfile contains the officially recognized supported Linux kernel versions. - Supported FreeBSD versions are any supported branches and releases starting from 12.4-RELEASE.
