In the original form of device error injection, it was an all or nothing situation. To help simulate intermittent error conditions, you can now specify a real number percentage value. This is also very useful for our ZFS fault diagnosis testing and for injecting intermittent errors during load testing. ZFS is an advanced file system and volume manager which was originally
developed for Solaris and is now maintained by the Illumos community.
ZFS on Linux, which is also known as ZoL, is currently feature complete. It includes fully functional and stable SPA, DMU, ZVOL, and ZPL layers. And it's native!
